GeoMechanics International, a division of Baker Hughes Incorporated has an immediate opening for an Office Administrator. This position will be based in GMI’s office inHouston.

Duties and Responsibilities Provides basic support by handling a wide variety of day-to-day administrative functions for the GMI Houston office. Responsible for performing office tasks such as answering phones, filing, maintaining records, processing transactions, travel arrangements, meeting/events coordination, office supply purchases, office maintenance and other related duties as well as special projects as assigned. May prepare reports, presentations or correspondence.

Skill Requirements: Strong knowledge of MS Office software packages and/or advanced knowledge of company-specific databases. Must be self-motivated. Ability to work in a diversified team environment. Good organization and communication skills. Must be bi-lingual. Education,

Experience and Training: High School Diploma or equivalent. 2+ years office experience.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing multiple areas in operations/manufacturing (excluding production) and meeting department goals and objectives.

Assists in planning, organizing and implementing functional procedures in accordance with managed quarterly and annual budgets.

Makes budgetary recommendations and coordinates procurement for capital expenditures.
Selects, hires and trains team personnel.

Responsible for the planning, coordination and direction of all assigned manufacturing/operations functions to ensure maximum throughput and quality.

Handles special projects, as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills:

Experience:

12+ years experience in manufacturing environment including 5+ years management or supervisory experience with experience in lean manufacturing environment.
Manufacturing Supply Chain experience including planning, scheduling and purchasing exposure.
